Another Fight

I know it doesn’t interest many of you at all, but this is my blog so it’s fine if i would care less about people’s comments (if there are any, haha!!) on my so-called poetry. heheheh!
Here’s “another whatever”. This is kinda short, but I know it’s enough for a song. I asked a friend to help me find a good tune for this, and he told me he’ll finish it soon. How soon? I have no idea, I told him to take his time anyway. It’s a little experiment that I have never tried before — letting someone put music to my “words”. I’m shy you know! hehehe! Especially giving it to someone who has great knowledge in music and whom I have always been looking up to. His first reaction was “men! full of angst!”.
Now you decide. heheheh!
It Takes
When a poet starts to write
It’s a start of a new fight
They who read might now understand why
They might not believe, and they won’t try
And when a preacher starts to preach
He begins to teach
But they who hear might not listen
They might not believe, and tolerate their sins
It takes a rebellious heart to heal
It takes emancipation to break a pot of fear
It takes a heart of vengeance to destroy all foes
but what it takes to know, nobody knows
You got to have your conscience cleared
so you can smile while you’re alone
but they who think too much
bury their minds six feet below the ground
